Vista Bail Bonds was established forty years ago, and sister company A & A Bail Bonds has been a part of Vista and North County San Diego's bail bond history since 1959! Several of the same family members who started the companies are still serving the business.

The rich background of these established companies has played a large part in the beginnings of the bail bond business in this area. The lessons (taught by founder, Ben Dower) about going "above and beyond" what is expected in service, has created a safe atmosphere at Vista Bail Bonds for customers when they, their family, or friends find themselves in jail.

Vista Bail Bonds, Inc. has been a part of changing the old Hollywood image of the bail bond office from the shady, smoke-filled, back alley office to a clean, open, comfortable place where you and your family can feel safe and taken care of.

VISTA BAIL BONDS HISTORY BEGINS:

In Vista, bail bond businesses became active in the 1950's. In 1959, a man named Ben Dower started his own bail bond company, called A & A Bail Bonds. Ben liked to help people in need and quickly learned that people thrown in the 'Pokey', were people in need of help! The bail bond business seemed like a good way to make some extra money, but Ben quickly found that it meant a lot of extra hours, and not much extra pay.

Ben's integrity, determination and drive (or stubbornness!), along with his natural charm, made him well-known and liked throughout the area. He gained the respect of judges, DA's, law enforcement, attorneys, biker's and criminals alike. His upfront approach and willingness to go the extra mile to help others made him highly-regarded.

In 1966, Ben and his wife Virginia, started "Vista Bail Bonds." When Ben passed away in 1988, the community and the bail bond industry lost a remarkable person. He is still remembered by many today.

After Ben's death, the family business, which included A & A Bail Bonds, Dower Bail Bonds and Vista Bail Bonds, was managed by Ben's oldest son, Brian Dower. In 1990, Ben's stepson Matt, was given the opportunity to take over the "Vista Bail Bonds" operation.

January 1, 1991, Vista Bail Bonds began doing business on its own, as a separate bail bond entity from A & A and Dower Bail Bonds. In 1993, Vista Bail Bonds acquired A & A Bail Bond and then both companies incorporated under Vista Bail Bonds, Inc. In the years after 1991, Vista Bail Bonds has been joined by Michael Demery, Shane Gonzalez, Sharon Demery and Ronald Demery, all who have become a important part of this model family business.

The trained and experienced professionals of Vista Bail Bonds, Inc. provide information about the bail bond business to the interested public. We are leaders in making the process of bailing someone out of jail a safe, positive, professional experience.
